Today, reading on paper is an act of rebellion, a conscious choice that champions the rhythms of the physical and the building of a space for reflection away from screens. The workshops I teach also seek to generate these stimuli: to open doors, ask questions, push boundaries. All through experimentation with paper, with the material and the tangible, with slow reading that goes beyond the digital surface.
In the workshops, we work with a blank book or a short story to generate questions about the creative process, break away from conventional book forms, and create experimental proposals for reading on paper.
